Jef Raskin was a computer technology pioneer who named the Macintosh computer after his favorite apple but altered the spelling for copyright reasons.ReferenceWhat a shame. He was a controversial figure at times, but definitely had a vision.

Number 53 on a list of the best 100 Jokes of all time (I'd post the link, but the language in some of the jokes isn't ready for prime time):
"I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump off. So I ran over and said "Stop! Don't do it!"
"Why shouldn't I?" he said.
"Well, there's so much to live for!"
"Like what?"
"Well... are you religious?"
He said yes.
I said, "Me too! Are you Christian or Buddhist?" "Christian."
"Me too! Are you Catholic or Protestant ? "Protestant."
"Me too! Are you Episcopalian or Baptist?" "Baptist."
"Wow! Me too! Are you Baptist Church of God or Baptist Church of the Lord?" "Baptist Church of God!"
"Me too! Are you original Baptist Church of God, or are you reformed Baptist Church of God?" "Reformed Baptist Church of God!"
"Me too! Are you Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1879, or Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1915?" He said, "Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1915!"
I said, "Die, heretic scum", and pushed him off." (Emo Philips)

You know you're getting old when you fall asleep at 8:30 and wake up at 7:45 the next morning.
Friday nights are the most tired nights of the week.

Well, folks,
Tangelo was released on Tuesday February 1st. You may have heard of this website/weblog creation tool--it's the fruit of over a year of work by Brad Rhine. I'm working with Brad to market it, and this website has been a Tangelo experiment since Christmastime (I chose the ugly purple color, though--have to change the template again).
I'm writing this post in Tangelo--what a sweet program.
It's really just the beginning--there are big plans for Tangelo. I'm really excited.

Got a couple of comments on the weblog in the last few days after a dry spell. I was glad to see Bill post again--now I know someone sees this thing again.
Between Joe, Bill, and the Steve guy who commented the other day, I know to whom I should target my writing audience!
I should, like, maybe write a story about a talented, unique music guy who hikes through the third world. Yeah, with his backpack and sad piano music. Because when he gets angry, he changes into a huge hulking.....
Wait. I think that thought segued into something that's been done before.
Or else Mike got added to the target audience mix.
;-)
